Die Frage waere ja ueberhaupt erst einmal, was "bad attitude" und "shameless behaviour" sind? Sind das nicht ganz subjektive Wertungen? Der eine mag sexy Klamotten shameless finden, der andere findets geil. Einer findet Nase popeln bad attitude, der andere findets cool. Und was ist am Beruf der Prostituierten so verwerflich? Ich finde z.B. Berufe, in denen man gezwungen ist zu luegen, viel schlimmer. Aber das ist auch ganz subjektiv.

Was ich komisch finde ist deine wohl selektive Wahrnehmung. glaubst Du nicht, dass wenn man in Nigeria aufgewachsen ist, eventuell mit Maedchen aus verschiedenen Ethnien in die Schule gegangen ist, man ein ausgewogeneres Bild von seinen Mitbuergern hat, als jemand der ein paar Leute kennt, die sich in einer Ausnahmesituation befinden und deshalb eine in Deinen Augen fehlerhafte "attitude" haben??.
Ich finde, dass Zariakoto sich in keiner Weise als Expertin aufgespielt hat, obwohl sie das sicher im Gegensatz zu manchen Theoretikerinnen hier koennte. Sie hat lediglich versucht, sich gegen die Zuschreibung von Charaktereigenschaften auf eine bestimmte Volksgruppe zu stellen. Das ist doch alles Unsinn, die Edo Frauen sind wie alle anderen Frauen in Nigeria in der grossen Mehrzahl hart arbeitende Menschen in allen Bereichen. Sie werden nicht als Prostituierte geboren, dass einige skrupellose Geschaeftemacher mit Luegen und Gewalt diesen scheusslichen Menschenhandel betreiben und in einigen Familien ein ueberbordender Materalismus nicht davor zurueckschreckt ihre Toechter an diese auszuliefern, ist eine ganz traurige Entwicklung.
Und Dein Igboeheman, der im Brustton der Ueberzeugung verkuendet, dass "seine" Frauen zu schade fuer ein solches Schicksal seien, waehrend andere wohl dazu praedestiniert sind, hat entweder einfach keine Ahnung oder verschliesst seine Augen vor der Wahrheit. In dieses schmutzige Geschaeft sind alle Ethnien verwoben, die pimps und madams kommen aus allen Ethnien.
